Ms. Marek and Mr. Sendzimer welcome you to the Spring Avenue Library!

Ms. Marek has been at Spring Avenue for 17 years. Her degrees include a Masters in Library and Information Science and Masters in Educational Administration. In 2023, she started working on coursework towards a PhD in education and social change. She is very active in the Association of Illinois School Library Educators (AISLE) and advocates for school library programs across the state. Her passions include exercising, reading, and cultivating houseplants. Ms. Marek loves Spring Avenue because of the interesting students, inviting families, and collaborative faculty. Ms. Marek enjoys reading all kinds of books, but her favorite genres are historical fiction and memoirs.
