• Meet Mrs. Duran

    Instructor: Mrs. Duran

    Mrs. Duran graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Music Education, a minor in Spanish and as an honors college scholar. She received her Master of Music Education from DePaul University's School of Music and was honored to be inducted into the Golden Key Honour Society. Mrs. Duran is certified in Kodaly and Orff Level I from DePaul University. She loves to travel and experience music from around the world. Outside of school, she teaches music lessons, plays piano at church and is a Zumba instructor.

    Mrs. Duran is honored to teach in District 105. She cannot wait to meet everyone and is so excited to make wonderful music memories together!

    Get To Know Mrs. Duran

    Mrs. Duran was born in Chicago. She has two older sisters who are also music teachers! She loves music! Mrs. Duran sings, plays piano, ukulele, all the band instruments and is a Zumba instructor. Her favorite food is tacos but she loves trying different foods from around the world! Her dad is from Peru so she is half Peruvian. She is proficient in Spanish! She is married and lives in Oak Park. Her husband is a mariachi singer :) Mrs. Duran loves to teach and is excited to get to know your students!
