I am honored to be a part of this community that is grounded in such a rich tradition of supporting students and each other. The District's passion and commitment to meeting the needs of each and every child is inspiring. Guided by our strategic plan, together, we ensure that our District consistently moves forward on the path of continuous improvement.
Our District has four neighborhood elementary schools: Hodgkins Elementary School in the Village of Hodgkins; Ideal Elementary School in the City of Countryside; and Seventh Avenue Elementary School and Spring Avenue Elementary School in the Village of La Grange. Students from all four schools attend 7th and 8th grades at Gurrie Middle School in LaGrange.
The D105 staff is deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students, families and each other. From the short time I have spent in the District, it is clear that our staff is passionate about providing the community with an exemplary educational system, inspiring all learners to achieve excellence in academic, social, emotional and personal growth. We will continue to build on the District's strong foundation of providing robust teaching and learning embedded in: collaboration, problem solving, reasoning, critical thinking, and creativity while encouraging, appreciating, and supporting the varying needs of our D105 school communities.
My "door is always open." I encourage you to share your questions, thoughts and ideas. In order to make fiscally responsible, effective child-centered decisions, we must engage in honest and open communication.
